After more than three years it is timely to revisit the overall purpose of the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Service Delivery and its implementation.
The main objective as outlined in the National Partnership was to fill key service and infrastructure
gaps in the communities to ensure Indigenous people are receiving the right level of services –
that are appropriate for their location, size and level of need.
But it was not only about service and infrastructure gaps. The National Partnership also aimed to ensure that Indigenous people are accessing “a full range of suitable and culturally inclusive services”.
